That the testator your Orators father after disposing of a part of his Estate by his Will aforesaid proceeds in the following manner to wit: I leave to my beloved wife Ann Price all My Negroes namely Bristol, Bett, James, Benn, Harry & Ned, during her natural life or widowhood and after my wifes death or marriage the said Negroes to be equally divided between all Sons namely Thomas Price, Richard Price, William Price and John Price but if any of my sons die without issue of their body lawfully begotten their part to be equally divided between the rest. To the Worshipfull the Justices of the County Court of Cumberland setting in Chancery Humbly complaining sheweth unto your worships your Orator John Price of the said county is one of the sons of a certain John Price formerly of the County of Essex but now deceased that the said John the decedent departed this life sometime in the year 1771 or 2 after having duly made and published in writing his last Will and testament bearing date the 27th day of November 1771 and recorded in the said County Court of Essex on the 16th day of March 1772. That your worships will give each other & further relief as may seem Just & equitable _ _ ~Your Orators will ever pray~Ī Court case in 1792 proves him to be the son of John Price and wife Ann Younger. To the end therefore that your worships order & decree that the commissioners be appointed to lay out & divide the same according to law.
